The Shadow Box
A smaller cousin of The Sea Chest, this shadow box was designed and purpose-built in order to maximize open display space of pictures and tangible objects without taking up quite as much space as the standard Sea Chest. It features a large main top compartment, a hat display window, two upholstered drawers for smaller objects, and an upholstered picture board on the bottom of the lid.
In order to maximize space efficiency, I combined features of two types of storage chests that I am familiar with: Dutch Tool Chests and Mule Blanket Chests. The mix of drawers and compartments allows a very large amount to be stored, while remaining easily organized and accessible.
